Why choose a white wall bed over a dark color?
White visually enlarges the room and captures light, which is valuable in a spare bedroom or studio where every square meter counts. Once the bed is folded up, the white front blends in with a light-colored wall and looks like an ordinary closet. It is also an easy color to combine with parquet flooring, grey, or touches of wood.
Are these white wall beds easy to raise and lower daily?
Yes, our models work with assisted pistons that guide the movement, so you don't have to force it to open or close the bed. It takes a few seconds to switch from day mode to night mode. The maneuver can be done with one hand and remains accessible even after a long day.
Do you have to make the bed every time on these wall bed models?
No, that's the whole point of the mechanism. A strap holds the duvet and pillows in place when you lift the bed, so the bed remains made inside the furniture. You save time in the morning and avoid having to store bedding elsewhere.
What mattress thickness can be installed in these wall beds?
Most of these models accommodate a mattress up to approximately 25 cm, which allows for real sleeping comfort and not just an emergency bed. For regular use, it is advisable to choose a good foam density to properly support the back. Our advisors can guide you depending on whether the bed is used a few nights a month or more often.
Do these beds fold vertically or horizontally?
Both openings are available in this selection. Vertical folding is suitable when you have high ceilings and little width, for example, along a narrow wall. Horizontal folding is interesting under a mezzanine or under a window, where height is limited. The choice mainly depends on the configuration of your room.
Are these white wall beds sold as single or double beds?
Here you will find single versions for a child's bedroom or a study corner, and double versions for a guest bedroom or a living room that transforms at night. The double models offer sleeping equivalent to a classic bed once unfolded. Remember to check the necessary floor clearance in front of the furniture once opened.
Can these wall beds be adapted to a wall or freestanding?
Yes, the murphy bed lends itself well to custom design and is often the right solution when space is atypical. We can adjust the width, integrate side storage, a folding desk, or a sofa in front of the bed.
