Who is the Origine mattress for?

The Origine mattress, at least 13 cm thick with a density of 40 kg/m³, offers a dynamic feel while providing firm support, ideal for back support. It is suitable for most sleepers and for daily use.

What does 40 kg/m³ foam density mean?

Density refers to the amount of material contained in one cubic meter of foam. The higher the density, the denser, stronger, and more durable the foam is. It directly affects the perceived firmness and longevity of the mattress.

Is it possible to get this model with a different mattress?

Yes, you can choose a different mattress comfort level for this sofa bed. La Maison Convertible offers four different mattresses, which you can try out in-store. The Pure, Symphonie, and Elytis mattresses are other models that offer different levels of comfort and support compared to the Origine. Whether you prefer pocket-coil or memory foam technology, our selection has something for everyone.

A wooden slatted base offers a firmer sleeping comfort than a mesh base. Additionally, the separation in the middle of the base reduces the movements of the other sleeper, thus providing better sleep independence.
A slatted base is recommended for a daily-use sofa bed. It offers:

Firmer lumbar support, beneficial for sleep
Better ventilation under the mattress, which extends its lifespan
More stable support under repeated load every night.

Is a slatted bed base more durable?
